for real?

Of all the wonderful comet Mc Naught pictures I've received courtesy of the email-rounds, this must be the most impressive. Almost doubt that it is real. Apparently, "the photo was taken just North of Hillary’s Marina, Australia."

Hmm, if you ask me that photo must be (severely) edited. The odds of getting a lighting bolt and a firework at the same time aren't very good! And the clouds just happened to pull away to show the comet? Oh, and the beach is perfectly lighted. And we've got some nice sunset colors to the left. Its all just a bit to much! But maybe I'm just jealous...

Hmmm, I tend to agree. Nice Photoshop work, though. :)

"The above image is actually a three photograph panorama digitally processed to reduce red reflections from the exploding firework."

Die feit dat dit 3 fotos is en bietjie ge-edit is verduidelik hoe als in die foto gekry het en nog reg ge-expose het ook.

Whichever way... WOW!!! What a scene! This is one of those pictures I will remember for as long as I live.
