oil and water okay?

Earlier today one of my colleagues asked a very profound question: "Does anyone know what the petrol price is?" Not a single person in the studio could answer him. Guesses ranged from R6,50 to R7,50. Some tried to Google it. One girl offered: "I know it's going down again soon." Turns out, non of the above mentioned colleague's "digs mates" knew the answer either. Nor did the people he spoke to on the phone last night. Incredible. Engen and friends could be cheating us out of our money a cent at a time, and we wouldn't even know.

Does anyone know what the petrol price is?

I think it's because it's regulated. If the price wasn't controlled (like most 1st world countries), you'd know the price and shop around. Just like you know R15 for a 2 litre coke is expensive, but R9 is a good price.

Hmmm, goeie punt.

i think it is not worth 'knowing' the price - as the price could fluctuate from the last time you 'knew' about it. just easier to check at the petrol pump. in any case - is there a price that we won't buy at? :)

Die prys is deesdae hoog genoeg dat ek dit oorweeg om hierdie of hierdie aan te skaf.

10200 Vietnamese Dong per liter of 92 and VND 10500 for 95. Dit kos my so (VND 30 000) R12 om my Honda Future vol te maak :)

Maksideen, ja-nee, 'n effektiewe publieke vervoerstelsel is 'n baie mooi ding.

R5,80 in die binneland, behalwe by Sasol. Hulle is duurder. Hulle vra R5,95 of iets. Net die liewe vader alleen weet hoekom?!
